Allen received his Batchelor of Architecture degree from Montana State University in 1975.  He was one of the founding partners in Plan One / Architects in Jackson.  Allen and his partner Skip Young grew Plan One into one of the most successful architectural firms in the region, with over twenty employees in offices in Jackson, Cody, Rock Springs, and Driggs. 

Allen is now semi-retired, but maintains a desk at Daniel William Smith, Architect for his business affairs.  Allen is available for architectural consultation when needed.
