NCARB certified AIA member
Daniel Smith has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of
Illinois. His architectural studies included a year of education at the
Unite Pedagogique in Versailles, France, which included extensive traveling
through Europe studying historic and contemporary architecture. Mr. Smith's
architectural roots are in Chicago where he was the principal designer at
Carow Architects Planners, a firm specializing in the design of libraries. Mr. Smith was
instrumental in the design of over a half dozen libraries in Wisconsin,
Illinois, and Indiana and oversaw other public projects,
including restoration and renovation projects on Adler and Sullivan's
famed Auditorium Theater.
In 1991, Mr. Smith left Chicago and returned to
Jackson Hole, where he had spent much of his youth. While at Plan One Architects, he was the Project Architect on the Teton County
/ Jackson Recreation Center and the Wyoming Department of Transportation's
facility in Jackson Hole. He also managed bank, school, and post office
facility projects in other parts of
Wyoming. Daniel left Plan One / Architects in 1996 to start his own
firm. |
